Climate Change Stock Footage

In August 2018, at age of 15, Greta Thunberg started spending her school days outside the Swedish parliament to call for stronger action on climate change by holding up a sign reading “Skolstrejk för Klimatet” (School strike for climate). Soon after, other students ensued in similar protests worldwide organizing school climate strike movement under the name “Fridays for Future”.

Earlier that year, Extinction Rebellion was launched by Roger Hallam and Gail Bradbrook in the UK as a global environmental movement with the aim of using nonviolent civil disobedience to compel government action against climate change.
